These Terms of Use govern participation in continuing education programs offered by TelebehavioralHealth US, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By registering for or participating in our continuing education courses, you agree to these Terms of Use.
1. Scope of Services
Our continuing education programs provide professional educational content only.
They do not provide healthcare services, clinical supervision, legal advice, or individualized professional consultation.
Participation in a course does not create a clinical, supervisory, or professional services relationship.
2. Eligibility and Professional Responsibility
Continuing education courses are intended for:
- Licensed professionals, pre-licensed professionals, or other adult participants seeking professional education
- Individuals age 18 or older
Participants are responsible for ensuring that:
- A course meets their individual licensure or renewal requirements
- Their licensing board accepts the continuing education credit offered
3. Course Registration and Access
Course access is provided through our learning management system, Thinkific.
- Access credentials are for individual use only
- Sharing login credentials or course materials is prohibited
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms
4. Continuing Education Credit and Completion Requirements
To receive continuing education credit, participants must:
- Complete all required modules
- Complete required knowledge checks and/or post-tests
- Submit required course evaluations
- Meet any additional completion criteria specified in the course description
Certificates of completion are issued only after all requirements are satisfied.
Issuance of a certificate confirms course completion but does not guarantee acceptance by a licensing board.
5. Accuracy of Information
Participants agree to provide accurate and complete information, including:
- Name and contact information
- Professional license number, license type, and state(s) of licensure
Providing false or misleading information may result in denial or revocation of continuing education credit.
6. Payments and Refunds
Payments for continuing education courses are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Stripe.
Refund eligibility is course-specific and is determined by the format and delivery method of the continuing education activity. Refund terms applicable to a course are disclosed on the course registration page and are incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference.
a. Self-Paced / Asynchronous Courses
For self-paced continuing education courses delivered through Thinkific:
- Refunds may be available only if the refund request is submitted within the timeframe stated on the course registration page
- Refunds are not availableonce a participant has:
- Accessed course content beyond an introductory module
- Completed knowledge checks or post-tests
- Downloaded course materials
- Been issued a certificate of completion
b. Live or Scheduled Courses (If Applicable)
For live webinars, workshops, or scheduled continuing education events:
- Refund requests must be submitted by the deadline stated on the registration page
- Refunds are not availablefor:
- Failure to attend
- Partial attendance
- Failure to complete post-event requirements
c. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Failure to complete course requirements
- Failure to pass a post-test or knowledge check
- Failure to submit required evaluations
- Failure to meet individual licensure or renewal requirements
- Dissatisfaction based on personal expectations rather than course delivery
d. Course Modifications or Cancellations by Us
We reserve the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances. If a course is cancelled by us and cannot be rescheduled, participants will be offered either:
- A full refund, or
- Transfer to an alternative course of equal value
e. Chargebacks
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us to resolve a billing concern may result in:
- Immediate suspension of course access
- Revocation of issued certificates
- Restriction from future course enrollment
7. Intellectual Property
All course content, including but not limited to:
- Videos
- Slides
- Written materials
- Assessments
- Graphics and recordings
is the intellectual property of TelebehavioralHealth US, LLC or its licensors.
Participants may:
- Access materials for personal educational use only
Participants may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, record, share, or resell course materials
- Use content for commercial purposes without written permission
8. Acceptable Use
Participants agree not to:
- Share access credentials
- Disrupt course delivery or platform functionality
- Upload malicious code or attempt unauthorized access
- Use course materials in a misleading, unethical, or unlawful manner
We reserve the right to restrict access or remove participants who violate these standards.
9. Disclaimers
Continuing education content is provided for educational purposes only.
We make no guarantees regarding:
- Clinical outcomes
- Legal or regulatory interpretations
- Applicability of course content to specific professional situations
Participants remain solely responsible for their professional practice and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and licensing standards.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- TelebehavioralHealth US, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability related to any course shall not exceed the amount paid for that course
11. Record Retention
Continuing education participation records and certificates are retained in accordance with documentation and audit expectations associated with Association of Social Work Boards ACE programs and other applicable continuing education standards.
12. Modifications to Courses or Terms
We reserve the right to:
- Update course content
- Modify delivery formats
- Update these Terms of Use
Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
